About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop two engineering teams, working closely with Product, Design, and Data
- Ensure the teams deliver with quality and speed, aligned with business objectives
- Foster a high-performance environment focused on ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Support and track team members’ growth through frequent feedback and development plans
- Ensure alignment and effective communication across different squads and stakeholders
- Monitor and improve engineering metrics, including quality, performance, and productivity
- Contribute to the tribe’s strategic decisions by connecting technology with business impact
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Background in software development
- Experience managing people and leading engineering teams
- Experience with distributed, highly scalable, and highly available systems
- Knowledge of systems architecture and engineering best practices
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams across Product, Design, and Data
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Ability to make decisions driven by data and business impact
- Experience with search, recommendation, or relevance systems, including ranking and search engines
- Familiarity with experimentation, including A/B testing, and user experience optimization
