About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and resilient microservices handling 50M+ monthly accesses in high-concurrency environments.
Contribute to the architectural evolution of the platform and integrate backend systems with AI/LLM conversational capabilities and large-scale data ecosystems.
Own the full software development lifecycle, including definition, development, testing, production, and maintenance.
Build observability and proactively address post-mortem findings.
Promote excellent software development practices and participate in code and design reviews.
Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and share knowledge across teams.
Participate in a unified selection process for multiple engineering teams and explore team alignment during the final stage.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience building and evolving software architecture from the ground up for high-volume, distributed systems.
Strong understanding of database design, evolution, and complex data modeling.
Proficiency in creating and maintaining RESTful APIs, with a strong understanding of system integration.
Experience with tools and practices for software monitoring, observability, and performance tracking, such as Datadog and New Relic.
Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to learn, and a focus on delivering high-quality, data-driven software.
Fluency in Portuguese and advanced English.
Experience with cloud service platforms such as AWS and GCP is a plus.
Knowledge of containers and orchestration, such as Kubernetes and Docker, is a plus.
Understanding of event-driven architectures and message brokers, such as Kafka and RabbitMQ, is a plus.
Prior experience or a strong interest in integrating applications with LLMs, AI agents, or large-scale data pipelines is a plus.
Formal education is optional.
