About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage CCR operations and staff, including performance management feedback, training, and documentation of issues related to Cash Receipts
- Coordinate with internal and external customers regarding member and group-related premium issues
- Review daily and monthly journal entries
- Plan, organize, and direct activities in the assigned department
- Review monthly reconciliations
- Report monthly team metrics to CCR leadership
- Review daily balancing processes
- Identify and implement quality and productivity improvements
- Assist in developing and maintaining uniform policies and procedures
- Research and create process flows for the department
- Participate in enterprise projects and workgroups as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years direct supervisory/management experience
- 4+ years of related work experience in Accounting/Financial Analysis and management experience
- Experience in GAAP accounting, general ledger close, financial research/analysis and forecasting
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles, practices and theories
- Demonstrated success in managing projects and multiple priorities
- Strong PC skills including experience using Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- CPA certification or CPA candidate
- Proficiency with PeopleSoft general ledger system
