About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, develop, and manage strategic content, information resources, and automation tools supporting proposal development
  • Support informal proposals, formal RFPs, and RFIs for complex major-account bid situations
  • Develop project plans, manage activities, and prioritize work to timelines
  • Qualify, assign, distribute, and manage work assignments while monitoring inventory levels and deadlines
  • Coordinate document reviews and perform quality reviews of proposals
  • Provide feedback to position BCBSF strategically
  • Consult, guide, coach, and train Proposal team members
  • Coordinate meetings with internal partners to monitor status, document implementation progress, and resolve issues
  • Develop implementation-related communications and incorporate process and plan changes into materials and processes
  • Build and manage relationships with internal partners and external partners
  • Communicate non-standard account requests and coordinate alternative solutions
  • Participate in finalist presentations, face-to-face meetings, and conference calls
  • Communicate group needs, progress, plans, and issues to Senior Leadership and stakeholders
  • Manage and track implementation barriers and issues through the post-implementation period
  • Develop action plans for key issues and track post-implementation activities
  • Lead process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years related work experience
  • Experience within a sales organization
  • Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience
  • Creative and business writing skills
  • Experience managing multiple knowledge bases and architecting document types using the Qvidian application
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience managing and successfully delivering multiple, high-profile projects simultaneously
  • Project management, negotiating, organizing, planning, and scheduling skills
  • Knowledge of the health insurance industry and the competition
  • Experience completing high-profile, highly complex RFPs for strategic accounts
  • Experience developing highly customized responses to complex bid questionnaires
  • Experience designing highly customized benefit plans against competitor benefit designs
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree emphasis in Marketing, Journalism, Business, or Communications
  • Preferred: Experience in curriculum design and delivering training programs to an array of audiences
  • Preferred: Experience leading and managing proposal teams
