About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to management
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Manage and reconcile high-volume and complex general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and process complicated journal entries
  • Collaborate with external auditors and provide support during audits
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other departments on accounting-related matters
  • Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and regulations and implement changes as necessary
  • Manage and oversee accounting and financial functions
  • Maintain accurate financial records

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with accounting software and systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience
  • Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience in a management role preferred
  • Experience with statutory accounting and reporting preferred
  • Experience with PeopleSoft general ledger preferred
  • Experience with Infor general ledger preferred
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management preferred
  • Experience with Smartview adhoc grid data retrieval and reporting preferred
  • Experience with Oracle general ledger preferred
  • Experience with financial modeling preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment preferred
