About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments using network scanning, code reviews, and penetration testing
  • Analyze security logs and identify suspicious activity
  • Generate reports detailing findings, risks, and remediation recommendations
  • Design, deploy, and configure firewalls, IDS, IPS, EDR, ZTS, and SIEM solutions
  • Monitor security systems for alerts and anomalies
  • Investigate security incidents and respond to security breaches
  • Manage user authentication, authorization, and access rights
  • Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans
  • Collect and analyze evidence and assist with remediation
  • Conduct forensic analysis to identify root causes of security breaches
  • Research emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors
  • Evaluate and recommend security technologies to improve the Court’s security posture
  • Attend industry conferences and training sessions and read security publications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS, IPS, EDR, ZTS, DLP, SIEM, and vulnerability assessment solutions
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, common attack vectors, security frameworks, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, network topologies, routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, command-line interfaces, Windows, Linux, and macOS
  • Ability to analyze complex security issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and work independently
  • At least one technical certification: CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Azure Security Technologies Certified, Zscaler/CrowdStrike/Splunk certification, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC certification
  • Agreement to recertify within 3 months of start date if certifications have lapsed
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
  • Must be eligible for employment in the United States
  • Employer is unable to sponsor candidates at this time
