About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsibility for production, toolmaking, supply chain, quality, and occupational health and safety
- Leadership of the plant management teams in Markgröningen and Pockau-Lengefeld
- Integration of the operational activities of two plants
- Management of sites with different equipment technologies, cycle times, and quality requirements
- Establishment of a new operational management level for the corporate group
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of responsibility for production or operations in a metal-processing company
- Experience in the automotive industry, defense technology, or both
- Leadership across multiple sites—or a clear, demonstrable willingness to take on this responsibility
- Manufacturing expertise in forming, stamping, or joining technologies
- Understanding of toolmaking
- Mastery of supply chain management, including just-in-sequence delivery
- Business-fluent German
- Good command of English
- Willingness to travel between Stuttgart and Chemnitz
- Proven experience in a metal-processing company
- Experience in the automotive supplier business
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, production launches, change management, and customer and process audits for German OEM customers
- Knowledge of security requirements, classifications, end-use declarations, and export controls in the metal-supply sector is an advantage for defense-technology supply
