About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead technical deep-dive sessions on strategic opportunities and surface prospects’ requirements
  • Stand up sessions where prospect engineers put Guru to the test
  • Own the product side of every demo end to end
  • Translate retrieval accuracy, citations, permissions, and governance into buyer-focused presentations
  • Coordinate responses to security questionnaires, RFIs, and RFPs with engineering, security, and product
  • Partner with Account Executives on strategic enterprise deals
  • Own the technical aspects of deal cycles while AEs own commercial relationships
  • Build and automate a self-service demo capability for the GTM team
  • Hand off demo capabilities cleanly to CSE or implementation at close
  • Stay ahead of the product and feed field insights to product and GTM leadership
  • Own the demo playbook by segment, vertical, or use case
  • Travel for executive presentations on strategic deals
  • Report to the Director of Sales

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years in a customer-facing technical role (sales engineering, solutions consulting, or technical CSE) in enterprise B2B SaaS
  • Strong live-demo and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and executive audiences
  • Strong working knowledge of LLM and RAG concepts: retrieval quality, grounding, citations, hallucination, and evaluation methods
  • Practical experience with agent deployments: tool use, MCP servers, system prompts, guardrails, and multi-step workflows
  • Experience with enterprise integration and identity: REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, SAML or OIDC SSO, SCIM provisioning, and permission-aware retrieval
  • Experience navigating procurement, security review, or compliance processes with regulated-industry buyers strongly preferred
  • Track record partnering with Account Executives on complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deal cycles, including C-level and technical-buyer audiences
  • Prior experience responding to security questionnaires, RFIs, or RFPs
  • Comfort with automation, scripting, or AI tooling well beyond basic demo setup
  • Based in Philadelphia or remote within EST/CST, with willingness to travel
  • Must be authorized to work in the US and reside in a state where Guru is a registered employer
  • Willingness to travel for executive presentations on strategic deals
