About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee onboarding for permanent, per diem, and temporary providers within Guthrie Medical Group
  • Lead provider preboarding, onboarding, and orientation processes
  • Submit employment documentation so providers can begin employment on time
  • Create and update APP collaborative and supervisory agreements
  • Track meetings, vacation metrics, CME, certifications, licenses, and agreements
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Provider Onboarding Coordinators
  • Evaluate and enhance onboarding processes and implement improvements
  • Collaborate with credentialing, enrollment, onboarding/retention, IT, Employee Health, subject matter experts, and GMG managers
  • Ensure compliance with employment, compensation/benefits, employee relations, and other regulatory standards
  • Serve as primary contact for escalated inquiries and maintain communication with newly hired providers
  • Coordinate orientation sessions for per diem and locum providers
  • Manage PA Child Protective Services Law clearances and five-year renewal requirements
  • Conduct audits, identify compliance gaps, prepare reports, and assist with corrective action plans
  • Monitor application completion, medical and DEA licensure, credentialing, and hospital privileges
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of provider credential files before start dates
  • Notify departments of provider start dates, practice changes, and credential distribution
  • Track and verify certifications, licenses, and agreements upon renewal
  • Provide regular reporting and alert leaders to discrepancies or errors
  • Process and audit locum invoices
  • Provide confidential administrative support, answer phones, arrange meetings, file, copy, order supplies, and maintain inventory
  • Travel as sometimes required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of four years of experience in provider onboarding or a related administrative role in the healthcare sector is required
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Thorough understanding of software applications
  • Knowledge of applicable employment, compensation/benefits, and employee relations laws and regulations is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor and guide junior team members
  • Thorough understanding of provider credentialing, licensing, and regulatory compliance
  • A high school diploma is required
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field is preferred
  • Ability to support provider credentialing, licensing, hospital privileges, medical and DEA licensure, and regulatory requirements
  • Travel is sometimes required
