About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Organize and log incoming PPAP parts into quality tracking systems
- Review PPAP parts and documentation for completeness and readiness before production release
- Maintain PPAP parts logs and track approval status through completion
- Create and distribute weekly reports on PPAP submissions, status, and processing performance
- Establish and maintain electronic filing systems for supplier submission documentation
- Review incoming PPAP documentation packets and ensure all required elements are received
- Coordinate documentation reviews with Supplier Development Managers
- Maintain quality records and catalogs for supplier submissions
- Support supplier onboarding and quality approval activities through documentation management
- Monitor open Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs) and ensure suppliers receive accurate and complete information
- Track progress toward timely SCAR closure and escalate risks as needed
- Support containment actions and incoming inspection activities associated with supplier quality issues
- Develop reports highlighting SCAR status, ownership, completion timelines, and next steps
- Participate in Engineering Change Order (ECO) review meetings and status discussions
- Track ECO progress and support on-time implementation activities
- Coordinate engineering change activities with Supplier Development Managers and cross-functional teams
- Help ensure supplier-related engineering changes are executed efficiently and effectively
- Compile supplier quality data and create actionable reports for stakeholders
- Analyze PPAP and supplier quality metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Present findings and recommendations to internal teams
- Support continuous improvement efforts by maintaining accurate performance metrics and reporting tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Quality Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines
- Experience analyzing data and developing reports that support operational decision-making
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of quality management processes and supplier quality systems
- Experience in automotive, commercial vehicle, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Understanding of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requirements and methodologies preferred
- Experience with supplier corrective action processes and quality improvement initiatives preferred
- Working knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, and Quality business processes preferred
- Experience using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, QRQC, or similar frameworks preferred
- Experience leading or coordinating cross-functional teams preferred
