About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and implement GXO and OSHA policies and programs
- Advise and lead associates on safety-related topics
- Update and maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) binders and databases
- Conduct or coordinate inspections, safety audits, and environmental audits for campus locations
- Ensure associates receive proper training on safety and health requirements and policies
- Conduct safety audits of health and safety programs, procedures, and processes, including STOP and BBS
- Investigate accidents or incidents to identify root causes and recommend solutions, improvements, or preventive measures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Provide environmental compliance support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 1 year of EHS experience
- Bachelor’s degree in safety related field preferred
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certificates preferred
- Ability to work with minimal supervision or in a team environment
- Solid research skills
- Compliance with GXO policies regarding COVID safety
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test if required after receiving a conditional offer
