About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on automated equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and control system faults to minimise downtime
- Complete maintenance records, reports and documentation using the site CMMS system
- Support continuous improvement projects, equipment upgrades and engineering initiatives
- Maintain and improve roller conveyor networks and Intralox sorter technology
- Help maximise reliability, performance and uptime of the automated distribution centre
- Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced engineering environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 18th Edition Electrical certification
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Experience working in an automated engineering, manufacturing, logistics or maintenance environment
- Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems
- Pro-active approach to problem solving
- Safety-first mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Ability to drive continuous improvement
