About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and deliver the contract-wide QHSE strategy across multiple sites, aligning with business and customer objectives
- Drive a positive safety culture through behavioural safety initiatives, engagement programmes and leadership coaching
- Ensure compliance with UK health, safety, environmental and quality legislation, customer standards and company standards
- Manage audits, governance programmes and compliance reviews
- Ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented
- Analyse performance data, identify trends and deliver actionable insights to reduce risk and improve operational performance
- Lead, coach and develop a multi-site QHSE team
- Build capability across operational leadership teams
- Build relationships with customers, regulatory bodies and key stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement and operational excellence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience in a senior QHSE leadership role within logistics, supply chain, manufacturing or a similar operational environment
- Proven experience managing QHSE across multiple sites and leading geographically dispersed teams
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, compliance requirements and management systems
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 qualification
- Chartered IOSH membership, or actively working towards Chartered status
- Demonstrable success in creating, embedding and sustaining a positive safety culture
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
- Experience presenting at senior leadership and customer level
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and drive meaningful performance improvements
- Flexibility to travel to other sites
