About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish work schedules, assign jobs and train staff
- Guide, counsel and encourage employees; improve potential and champion high standards
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with onsite customers and other key partners
- Provide a safe and secure work environment through training and safety inspections
- Assist with evaluating employee performance and provide written and verbal feedback
- Implement and carry out company policies, procedures and standards
- Conduct dangerous goods and general safety training and coaching using various delivery methods and formats
- Maintain and update corporate training program materials
- Update and maintain training records in the company database
- Demonstrate understanding of company safety and quality policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office and computerized scanner equipment
- Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field, or equivalent related work or military experience
- 2 years of experience with the implementation of dangerous goods regulations
- Experience with and understanding of applicable dangerous goods regulations: 49CFR, IMDG, IATA, TDG
- 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
- Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience
- Solid problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to follow, promote and implement safety programs
- Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights
- Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to reach (including above your head), bend, stoop, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
- Ability to handle or manage tools or equipment
- Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
- May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test after receiving a conditional offer
