Data Center Logistics Associate – 1st Shift

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Receive, inspect, record, and document incoming inventory, including racks, trays, networking equipment, and other hardware
- Maintain inventory records and perform stock counts
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers and carriers
- Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging
- Upload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments
- Transport inventory using material handling equipment in accordance with safety procedures
- Maintain clean and organized storage areas and shipping/receiving docks
- Dispose of packaging materials and obsolete equipment as needed
- Comply with data center security measures and access controls
- Collaborate with data center operations, procurement, and technical support teams
- Support special projects and other duties assigned by management
- Assist with setup and installation of computer server racks
- Assemble server racks using diagrams and guidelines
- Safely handle basic tools and equipment
- Support senior technicians with cable management and organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and software
- Proficiency in basic office software, such as Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to perform basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents
- Familiarity with proper lifting techniques
- Familiarity with material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Ability to lift and move heavy material and perform physical tasks involving server trays and server racks
- Ability to use power equipment to safely move very heavy server racks
- Additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills preferred
- Positive, respectful, and professional attitude preferred
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed preferred
- Must comply with GXO safety policies and procedures
- May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test after receiving a conditional offer
