About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive, inspect, record, and document incoming inventory, including racks, trays, networking equipment, and other hardware
  • Maintain inventory records and reconcile stock-count discrepancies
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers and carriers
  • Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging
  • Upload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments
  • Transport inventory using material handling equipment in accordance with safety procedures
  • Maintain clean and organized storage areas and shipping/receiving docks
  • Dispose of packaging materials and obsolete equipment as needed
  • Follow safety protocols, data center security measures, and access controls
  • Collaborate with data center operations, procurement, and technical support teams
  • Support special projects and other duties assigned by management
  • Set up and install computer server racks according to instructions and diagrams
  • Assemble server racks and safely use basic tools and equipment
  • Support senior technicians with server-rack cable management and organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and software
  • Proficiency in basic office software, including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents
  • Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Positive, respectful, and professional attitude
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including possible overtime
  • Ability to lift and move heavy material and perform physical tasks involving server trays and racks
  • Ability to use power equipment to move heavy server racks safely
  • Ability to routinely carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs over 3–5 feet
  • Ability to stand for more than 4 hours
  • Ability to walk continuously more than 10,000 steps (4–5 miles) per day
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull objects of various shapes and sizes in team lifts
  • Ability to tolerate hot and cold work environments
  • May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test after receiving a conditional offer
