About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming inventory, including racks, trays, networking equipment, and other hardware
Maintain inventory records and documentation for received and shipped items
Perform stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers and carriers
Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging
Upload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments
Transport inventory by hand using material handling equipment in accordance with safety procedures
Maintain clean and organized storage areas and shipping/receiving docks
Dispose of packaging materials and obsolete equipment as needed
Adhere to safety protocols and data center security measures and access controls
Collaborate with data center operations, procurement, and technical support teams
Support special projects and other assigned duties
Assist with setup and installation of computer server racks
Assemble server racks using diagrams and guidelines
Safely use basic tools and equipment
Support senior technicians with cable management and organization within server racks

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields
Familiarity with inventory management systems and software
Proficiency in basic office software, including Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to perform basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents
Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
Additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Positive, respectful, and professional attitude
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime
Ability to lift and move heavy material and perform physical tasks related to handling server trays and server racks
Ability to use power equipment to safely move very heavy server racks into position
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test may be required after a conditional offer
