About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming inventory, including racks, trays, networking equipment, and other hardware
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation for received and shipped items
  • Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments
  • Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging for outgoing shipments
  • Upload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness
  • Transport inventory by hand using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, following safety procedures
  • Maintain clean and organized storage areas and shipping/receiving docks
  • Assist with disposal of packaging materials and obsolete equipment
  • Follow safety protocols, data center security measures, and access controls
  • Collaborate with data center operations, procurement, and technical support teams
  • Support special projects and other duties assigned by management
  • Assist in setting up and installing computer server racks according to instructions
  • Assemble server racks by following diagrams and guidelines
  • Safely handle basic tools and equipment
  • Support senior technicians with cable management and organization within server racks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and software
  • Proficiency in basic office software, such as Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents
  • Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Ability to lift and move heavy material and perform physical tasks related to handling server trays and server racks
  • Ability to use power equipment to safely move very heavy server racks
  • Ability to routinely carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs for 3–5 feet
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of more than 4 hours
  • Ability to walk continuously for more than 10,000 steps (4–5 miles) per day
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull objects of various shapes and sizes in team lifts
  • Ability to tolerate hot and cold work environments
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed
  • Additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask preferred
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills preferred
  • Positive, respectful, and professional attitude preferred
