Data Center Logistics Associate – Weekend, 1st Shift

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming inventory, including racks, trays, networking equipment, and other hardware
- Maintain inventory records and documentation for received and shipped items
- Perform stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers and carriers
- Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging
- Upload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments
- Transport inventory by hand using material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, while following safety procedures
- Maintain clean and organized storage areas and shipping/receiving docks
- Dispose of packaging materials and obsolete equipment
- Follow safety protocols and data center security measures and access controls
- Collaborate with data center operations, procurement, and technical support teams
- Support special projects and other duties assigned by management
- Assist with setup and installation of computer server racks
- Assemble server racks using diagrams and provided guidelines
- Safely use basic tools and equipment
- Support senior technicians with cable management and organization within server racks
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and software
- Proficiency in basic office software, such as Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to perform basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents
- Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Ability to lift and move heavy material and perform physical tasks related to handling server trays and server racks
- Ability to use power equipment to move very heavy server racks safely
- Ability to routinely carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of more than 4 hours
- Ability to walk continuously for more than 10,000 steps (4–5 miles) per day
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull objects of various shapes and sizes in team lifts
- Ability to tolerate hot and cold work environments
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test if required after a conditional offer
- Additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Positive, respectful, and professional attitude
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime
