About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain and test life/safety systems to ensure the safety of building occupants
- Ensure the building is maintained and used in accordance with all codes, laws and regulations
- Maintain a hard-key inventory and control system to secure company assets
- Coordinate with the internal security group to maintain the required security posture
- Handle facility construction and remodel activities while minimizing business disruption and maximizing value
- Administer and execute procedures and programs for an efficient and well-managed facility
- Follow operating expense and capital budgets; support business units in staying on budget
- Provide customer service to business units and building occupants to support a safe, comfortable and productive workplace
- Maintain required certifications and licenses for building and equipment at the site
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4 years of experience in a facilities management role
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance, operational procedures and standards, building codes, fire codes, ADA, EPA and OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of federal rules and regulations governing regulated utility operations
- Knowledge of reliability-based maintenance strategies, purchasing and budgeting
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with computer-aided facility management/computerized maintenance management system or building information modeling software (preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and other business-related software (preferred)
- Conditional offer recipients may be required to pass a pre-employment drug test
