About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Carry out planned mechanical preventative maintenance on cage repairs and racking repairs
Perform reactive repairs, PPMs and racking inspections
Utilise the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
Maintain the smooth running of the operation
Maintain mechanical and equipment performance up to employee-trained competency level
Identify and progress continuous improvement opportunities within the department and across the operation
Monitor plant and mechanical equipment, including use of the BMS system
Cover mechanical maintenance tasks at other Waitrose campus sites as part of the Waitrose Engineering Team
Respond to and report incidents to maintain communication across shifts

Requirements

What you’ll need

Holder of 18th edition wiring is desirable, however, not essential; employer will support gaining it within the first six months
Facilities/engineering mechanical background
Apprenticeship advantageous
Response to and reporting of incidents to ensure communication is maintained across shifts
Ability to work Monday to Friday, 07:00 till 15:00
Ability to cover mechanical maintenance tasks at other Waitrose campus sites when required
