About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead finance teams across multiple sites for the Co-op contract
  • Deliver clear, credible best-in-class reporting to GXO and the customer
  • Produce weekly flashes, period reporting, forecasts and budgets
  • Support customer-driven projects and operational decision-making with financial data
  • Ensure robust accounting and visibility of results through weekly and period reporting
  • Confirm balance-sheet clarity across contract areas and satisfy internal SOX requirements
  • Conduct weekly and monthly customer reviews and produce review packs
  • Lead annual budgeting and monthly forecasting
  • Lead financial controls for Gainshare and ensure maximum contractual delivery with operations
  • Maintain controls for stock accounting
  • Travel approximately 3 to 4 days per week to sites in Andover, Avonmouth, Lea Green (St. Helens), Thurrock and Wellingborough

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Fully qualified: CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
  • Experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of open book contracts
  • Understanding of Transport
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of financial management systems
  • Experience in the distribution sector or similar in size and complexity highly desirable
  • Experience managing challenging stakeholder relationships and managing a team
  • Flexibility regarding working hours and travel between sites
