About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operate PLC-driven, high-speed Grind operation machinery, including Grind, Shred, Big, and Small milling machines
Perform all jobs throughout the Grind operation to meet requirements
Operate PIT equipment to load and unload gaylords and supersacks into small rack spaces
Perform quality assurance airflow, heat, and clog checks
Inspect machines and materials for defects and quality issues
Report machinery breakdowns and clean machine jams
Coordinate with Maintenance to minimize downtime and promote productivity
Assist technicians with complex machinery breakdowns and repairs when requested
Make periodic PLC airflow adjustments to maintain peak efficiency
Provide daily production and downtime count reports
Complete housekeeping duties around machines, including sweeping floors and cleaning machine parts

Requirements

What you’ll need

Successfully meet all background check requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of warehouse experience
Experience independently operating machinery and producing a quality product in a team-based environment
Ability to speak, read fine print, and write in English
Ability to follow verbal and written directions
Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively communicate with others
Willingness to be cross-trained to operate different styles of PIT equipment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to work in a warehouse environment that is not climate-controlled
Ability to safely walk, reach above the head, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel
