About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and direct planning-related functions of the distribution center
- Plan and schedule inbound receipts and outbound shipments
- Manage replenishment activities, inventory slotting, capacity analysis, order prioritization and expedite processing
- Develop and execute operational-level reporting for site leadership and the client
- Support Operations teams to ensure service-level standards are met
- Adhere to contractual obligations and ensure client compliance
- Identify growth opportunities with current customers by promoting enhanced services and cost savings
- Partner with site leadership during customer visits, conference calls and problem-solving efforts
- Track, record and maintain planning and operations-related data
- Deploy planning-based metrics to optimize operational efficiencies
- Support identification and deployment of cost-saving initiatives through planning-based continuous improvement
- Interview, hire, onboard, set expectations, train and develop direct reports
- Conduct performance reviews and manage direct reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4 years of experience with complex demand planning activities
- Experience utilizing and deploying solutions within industry-leading business intelligence solutions (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, or equivalent)
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
- Working knowledge of statistical methods, mathematical techniques and related analytical tools, including forecasting and projections
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management or another related field (preferred)
- Working knowledge/understanding of SQL or similar programming languages
- 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience
- APICS certification
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience in Lean manufacturing principles
- Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience
- Experience in quality, inventory, data mining and problem-solving
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
- Ability to work 2nd shift, Monday–Thursday, 6:00 PM–4:30 AM
- May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test after receiving a conditional offer
