About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and direct planning-related functions of the distribution center, including inbound receipt and outbound shipment scheduling, replenishment, inventory slotting, capacity analysis, order prioritization and expedite processing
  • Develop and execute operational-level reporting for site leadership and the client
  • Support Operations teams to ensure service-level standards are met and contractual obligations and client compliance are maintained
  • Identify growth opportunities with current customers by promoting enhanced services and/or cost savings
  • Partner with site leadership during customer visits, conference calls and problem-solving efforts
  • Track, record and maintain planning and operations-related data
  • Deploy planning-based metrics to optimize operational efficiencies
  • Support identification and deployment of cost-saving initiatives through planning-based continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage direct reports, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, setting expectations, training and development, and performance reviews
  • Work Friday–Sunday, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 years of experience with complex demand planning activities
  • Experience utilizing and deploying solutions within industry leading business intelligence solutions (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, or equivalent)
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
  • Working knowledge of statistical methods, mathematical techniques and related analytical tools, including forecasting and projections
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management or other related field (preferred)
  • Working knowledge/understanding of SQL or similar programming languages (preferred)
  • 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience (preferred)
  • APICS certification (preferred)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing principles (preferred)
  • Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience (preferred)
  • Experience in quality, inventory, data mining and problem-solving (preferred)
  • Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment (preferred)
  • May be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test after receiving a conditional offer
  • Must comply with GXO policies and applicable CDC, OSHA, state and local COVID safety requirements
