About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assemble trailer components and sub-assemblies
- Perform quality inspections of components and sub-assemblies
- Identify and perform repetitive assembly of trailer component parts using blueprints or work instructions
- Safely utilize measuring and inspection instruments
- Use power and hand tools safely
- Work with steel, sheet metal, aluminum, solvents, oils and abrasives
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality standards
- Organize parts and equipment to maximize departmental efficiency
- Work Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
Requirements
What you’ll need- A high degree of technical skills and assembling techniques
- Demonstrated ability to read, understand and follow job orders and work procedures
- Ability to perform work in a manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or equivalent work or military experience
- 2 years of experience and proven track record of successful performance in a warehouse environment
- Availability to travel more than 75% of the time
- Good communication skills
- Proven ability to collaborate with and support other team members
- Ability to be engaged and productive while remaining flexible and adaptable to changing conditions and expectations
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outside on occasion
- Ability to reach, including above your head
- Ability to safely walk, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
- Visual focus adjustment, depth perception and close vision capabilities
- Conditional offer recipients may be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test
