Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee supply chain operations and critical areas supporting smooth operations
Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to ensure customer commitments are met
Establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives in accordance with GXO quality policies
Provide guidance to supervisors regarding personnel, quality and safety
Hire, train, develop and appraise staff
Recommend programs to improve operations
Handle equipment and coordinate maintenance needs with the maintenance team
Ensure records are maintained and reports are completed on time
Enforce safe work practices and ensure warehouse compliance with OSHA and other applicable standards and regulations
Work Friday–Sunday, 6:00 pm–6:00 am

What you’ll need

4 years of relevant work experience
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Experience with computerized scanner equipment
Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime and weekends
Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field (preferred)
4 years of managerial/supervisory experience (preferred)
Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment (preferred)
Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience (preferred)
Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) (preferred)
Ability to maintain a safe work environment by monitoring and enforcing safety procedures across all departments
Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills
Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights
Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
Ability to reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
