Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assemble trailer components and sub-assemblies
  • Perform quality inspections of components and sub-assemblies
  • Perform repetitive assembly of trailer component parts using blueprints or work instructions
  • Safely use measuring and inspection instruments
  • Safely use power and hand tools
  • Work with steel, sheet metal, aluminum, solvents, oils and abrasives
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality standards
  • Organize parts and equipment to maximize departmental efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A high degree of technical skills and assembling techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to read, understand and follow job orders and work procedures
  • Ability to perform work in a manufacturing environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent work or military experience (listed as desirable)
  • 2 years of experience and proven track record of successful performance in a warehouse environment (listed as desirable)
  • Availability to travel more than 75% of the time (listed as desirable)
  • Good communication skills (listed as desirable)
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and support other team members (listed as desirable)
  • Ability to remain flexible and adaptable to changing conditions and expectations (listed as desirable)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment (listed as desirable)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work outside on occasion
  • Ability to reach, including above your head
  • Ability to safely walk, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
