About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish, implement and maintain processes for the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Execute the QMS according to documented policies and applicable international quality standards
- Review the QMS for suitability, adequacy and effectiveness
- Assess opportunities for improvement and system changes
- Provide high-level reporting on system performance and improvement recommendations
- Serve as site audit authority for internal and external company audits
- Post company quality policies and conduct policy training
- Ensure facility and departmental training requirements are reviewed and met
- Execute corrective and preventive actions, recommend solutions, and manage projects
- Verify implemented solutions until defects are corrected
- Implement quality initiatives at facilities as required
- Provide leadership, guidance and education while ensuring policies and procedures are followed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office and computerized scanner equipment
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime and weekends
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field (preferred)
- 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience (preferred)
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment (preferred)
- Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience (preferred)
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), material handling equipment and storage medium, distribution and inventory management, ERP systems, LEAN warehousing, ISO, QMS and meeting facilitation (preferred)
- Knowledge of OSHA, Environmental Health and Safety, and Material Safety Data Sheets regulations and compliance (preferred)
- Ability to generate quality metrics and reports (preferred)
- Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights
- Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods
- Ability to reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
- Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
