About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, implement, and manage security awareness programs to prevent and reduce fraudulent losses and promote workplace safety and security
- Initiate investigations with the Site Security Manager based on loss trends, internal reports, and other information
- Conduct security audits and surveys to identify vulnerabilities and policy or procedure violations
- Assist field operations in developing action plans for operational and control compliance and physical security protection
- Build and maintain relationships based on fairness, honesty, and openness
- Develop and provide security reports and documents for regional leadership about security and loss-prevention activities
- Develop and maintain working relationships with business operations and Human Resources teams
- Coordinate with Legal, HR, Internal Audit, departments, vendors, regulatory agencies, and law enforcement
- Work Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm on the 1st shift
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- Experience in a security or loss prevention environment focused on investigating fraudulent activities, conducting security audits, and developing security/loss prevention awareness programs and presentations
- Experience responding to inquiries or complaints from customers, law enforcement, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Knowledge of and experience with security systems
- Ability to travel up to 75%
- Must possess a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or passport to comply with federal travel regulations
- Familiarity and ability to comply with TSA security procedures
- Ability to travel domestically via road, rail, and air
- 5 years of Loss Prevention/Asset Protection experience preferred
- Formal investigative and interview training and CFI certification preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data
