About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform and analyze revenue accounting activities for domestic and international operations in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
Prepare revenue-related journal entries, accruals, reserves, and supporting schedules
Prepare and analyze recurring revenue accounting activities, including customer- and contract-related accruals and adjustments
Prepare and/or review account reconciliations and resolve outstanding balances
Prepare reserve analyses and supporting schedules
Analyze revenue results, investigate variances, and explain material or unusual activity
Run and analyze Oracle Fusion reports for revenue, project accounting, billing, accounts receivable, cash receipts, invoices, and general ledger activity
Prepare quarterly account roll-forwards and supporting schedules
Review customer contracts and implement accounting conclusions, including ASC 606 considerations
Execute internal controls and assist with SOX, internal audit, and external audit requests
Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis for Revenue Accounting leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
Partner with Revenue Accounting leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues, strengthen controls, and improve processes
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
2 years of accounting experience, including familiarity with ASC 606
Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel capabilities
Experience using reporting tools such as Power BI
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and prioritization skills
High attention to detail and strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with others
Master’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business preferred
CPA certification or progress toward CPA certification preferred
3 or more years of accounting experience, preferably with a Big Four accounting firm
Experience working in a medium-to-large, multinational company preferred
Experience with Oracle Fusion, BlackLine, Microsoft Copilot, or comparable accounting tools preferred
May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test after receiving a conditional offer
Must comply with GXO policies and applicable CDC, OSHA, state, and local COVID safety requirements
