About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the daily management of operations supporting national returns processing and outbound order preparation for a multichannel distribution center
- Supervise, motivate, coach and train warehouse associates
- Implement performance improvement strategies when needed
- Oversee equipment and coordinate maintenance needs
- Handle inventory control processes
- Drive quality operations through Lean methodologies
- Create and monitor KPIs against targets and lead the organization to meet or exceed them
- Ensure picking and putaway activities meet operational needs
- Lead operations to support value-added service and outbound packing within lead-time requirements
- Initiate and facilitate projects improving safety, quality, delivery, cost and employee morale
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with computerized scanner equipment
- Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, potentially including weekends
- Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights
- Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to reach above the head, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
- Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field (preferred)
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment (preferred)
- Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience (preferred)
- Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) (preferred)
- Solid problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills (preferred)
- Conditional offer recipients may be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test
