About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create and execute project plans, manage milestones and risks, and ensure deployment resources are capable
Develop training, tools, templates and dashboards to measure project status
Manage assigned local and/or remote staff, including mentoring and training, resolving issues/problems, and ensuring staff matches client service-level requirements
Provide leadership for project execution and communicate project requirements to stakeholders and operations leaders
Serve as a development and educational resource for team members
Set performance expectations and ensure team members achieve or exceed them
Create an enjoyable work environment conducive to effective creative thinking
Act as primary project management leader for new business pursuits from sales to startup
Handle milestones, project workflows and resourcing for assigned projects/clients
Define key skills, training and development paths for the team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
2 years of experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously of varying scope and size
2 years of experience using project management software
Microsoft Office experience
Advanced degree in Project Management, Supply Chain or related field (preferred)
PMP certification (preferred)
Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred)
Experience in a transportation, supply chain, logistics, distribution or manufacturing environment (preferred)
Solid understanding of professional services economics and experience with change management processes (preferred)
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to travel up to 75%
Must possess a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or passport
Familiarity with and ability to comply with TSA security procedures
Ability to travel domestically via road, rail and air as required
May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test
