About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program
- Maintain, coordinate, and communicate EHS processes and procedures
- Review, administer, maintain, and ensure compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations
- Conduct on-site audits of facility EHS requirements and ensure action items are resolved
- Review, research, develop, and communicate EHS programs, solutions, and initiatives
- Develop action plans as necessary
- Lead safety meetings, training, and continuing education
- Initiate and complete safety incident reports, RCCAs, and customer reporting requirements
- Execute safety program projects as directed by leadership
- Help achieve company and customer objectives and ensure efficient operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 years of related work experience
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of the supply chain and logistics industry
- Understanding of industry-related state and federal rules and regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred)
- Solid understanding of OSHA requirements (preferred)
- Solid time and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads
- Solid skills in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to comply with GXO policies and CDC, OSHA, state and local COVID safety requirements
- May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test after receiving a conditional offer
