About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the liaison between Operations and IT
  • Maintain relationships and ensure clear communication between Operations and IT
  • Evaluate, define and analyze existing WMS
  • Configure, test and support business functions
  • Educate management on process improvement opportunities using system applications
  • Communicate changes, improvements and modifications to management
  • Determine project scope
  • Identify and resolve system issues
  • Translate user requirements into functional requirements
  • Create process models, diagrams and charts to provide direction to the team
  • Handle WMS configuration changes
  • Define and coordinate implementation of test cases
  • Train end users on modifications to existing and new processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 2 years of experience in logistics system implementation
  • Distribution/warehousing experience
  • Experience with WMS, order management applications and database systems
  • Knowledge of automated software systems and implementation
  • Knowledge of Blue Yonder
  • 3 years of experience in WMS configuration, relational databases and writing SQL queries
  • Ability to obtain cooperation from stakeholders, project team and other departments
  • Solid Excel skills, including building drop downs, formatting, pivot tables and graphing
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work
  • Solid change management skills
  • Must comply with GXO COVID safety policies where applicable
  • May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test
