About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the transport operation, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, legally, and on time
- Manage, coach, and develop drivers, team leaders, and operational colleagues
- Monitor transport KPIs, investigate operational issues, and implement corrective actions
- Ensure full compliance with operator licence obligations and company policies
- Collaborate with planning, warehouse, and customer teams to resolve challenges
- Improve efficiency and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience leading transport teams in a fast-paced logistics operation
- Transport leadership experience in a large, fast-paced logistics environment
- Excellent knowledge of transport legislation, including driver’s hours and WTD
- Strong people management and communication skills
- National/international CPC and IOSH desirable
