About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide final route plans to warehouse operations within agreed timescales to enable timely picking
  • Ensure compliance with EU Drivers’ Hours regulations
  • Handle customer issues and monitor drivers’ daily progress
  • Update customers as required
  • Ensure subcontractor costs align with agreed rates and maximize financial benefit
  • Resolve subcontractor financial queries promptly
  • Develop and manage relationships with customers and drivers
  • Drive efficiency, reduce costs, and deliver excellent customer service

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience working as a Transport Planner or in a similar operational role
  • Route planning experience
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK
  • Knowledge of WTD regulations
  • Proficient use of Microsoft
  • Experience using a transport planning tool
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work Monday–Friday between 8am and 5pm
