About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate and handle a variety of transportation activities
Supervise day-to-day transportation operations
Strive to meet or exceed customer expectations
Act as a liaison for Transportation, Operations, carriers, vendors and customers
Lead and supervise transportation staff, including training and evaluating employee performance
Recommend or initiate hiring, promotions, transfers or disciplinary actions
Perform routing, planning, updating and tracking duties for orders and shipments
Analyze and resolve carrier performance and compliance issues
Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time, accurate and satisfactory deliveries
Provide shipment updates as needed
Investigate and resolve issues submitted by customers, carriers and clients
Provide follow-up and reporting as required
Maintain and generate required reports
Process, audit and file documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need

2 years of transportation or supply chain experience
Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows applications
Ability to create complex formulas in Excel
Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
1 year of supervisory experience (preferred)
Strong leadership and collaboration skills with experience effectively supervising, coaching and influencing employees (preferred)
Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights up to 25 lbs.
Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
Ability to reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
