Key responsibilities & impact

Support the Shift Manager in the efficient running of the warehouse shift
Ensure optimum use of resources to deliver first-class customer service
Allocate and distribute tasks to maximise efficiency and achieve or exceed customer KPIs/productivity targets
Maintain and communicate operational procedures
Maintain extensive knowledge of all aspects of the warehouse operation and system
Create and maintain a positive team culture and improve employee engagement
Identify cost-saving initiatives and implement corrective actions
Ensure operational processes comply with health and safety policies
Identify risks accurately and escalate findings
Drive continuous improvement and employee development

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven track record at a similar level within a fast-paced warehouse environment
Demonstrable experience managing disciplinary, grievance and absence matters
Proactive approach to poor performance/capability
Excellent people skills and ability to effectively lead, develop and manage a team
Ability to identify areas for development and recognise success
Experience managing conflicting priorities
Ability to plan and organise a warehouse operation
ILM/CMI Level 3 desirable
