About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee key warehouse operations areas to ensure smooth operations
  • Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to meet customer commitments
  • Apply GXO quality policies and establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives
  • Guide supervisors regarding personnel, quality and safety
  • Hire, train, develop and appraise staff
  • Recommend programs to improve operations
  • Handle equipment and coordinate maintenance needs with the maintenance team
  • Ensure records are maintained and reports are completed timely
  • Enforce safe work practices and ensure OSHA and other applicable standards and regulations are followed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Experience with computerized scanner equipment
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime and weekends
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field (preferred)
  • 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment (preferred)
  • Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience (preferred)
  • Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) (preferred)
  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment by monitoring and enforcing safety procedures across all departments
  • Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills
  • Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights
  • Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to reach above the head, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
  • Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
  • May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test after receiving a conditional offer
