About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, code, and deploy custom web applications and automation scripts to improve operational efficiency
Conduct discovery sessions with internal teams to understand pain points and gather requirements
Present technical solutions to stakeholders in non-technical terms
Develop and maintain integrations between Google Workspace and BigQuery
Manage the full software development lifecycle, including scoping, architecture, front-end and back-end development, testing, and documentation
Monitor existing tools for performance issues and debug errors
Iterate tools based on user feedback and evolving business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
1 year of related work experience
Knowledge of analyzing large, complex, multidimensional datasets with SQL
Understanding of SQL best practices, query design, data validation/automation, and research functions
Understanding of data warehouse concepts and logical data models
Experience with structured and unstructured data and ETL design principles using technologies such as SSIS and SSRS
Master’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred
3 years of experience with reporting systems, application creation, solution design and implementation, and application/website development preferred
Up-to-date knowledge of BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, and Tableau
Understanding of programming concepts and languages including Python, Java, Scala, HTML, C+, and C#
Familiarity with adapting APIs for customized applications
Demonstrated proficiency completing moderately complex or multiple projects
Understanding of SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft, Kronos, SAP Payroll, Google Data Studio, and Microsoft Power BI
Experience delivering business intelligence and data analytics solutions involving statistical modeling or machine learning and R/Python libraries and tooling
Knowledge of statistical/mathematical software such as R and SAS
Must comply with GXO COVID safety policies and CDC, OSHA, state, and local requirements
