About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns
  • Support tax planning efforts to optimize tax liabilities and support long-term financial goals
  • Analyze balance sheets and income statements to identify tax implications and savings opportunities
  • Manage double-entry bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, and regulatory reporting
  • Use QuickBooks, Xero, ACS, UltraTax, and other financial software
  • Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and asset management
  • Maintain documentation of tax transactions, account reconciliations, and audit trails
  • Support audit activities and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
  • Mentor and guide team members through knowledge sharing, skill development, and professional growth
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of tax experience
  • Experience completing all types/schedules for individual returns
  • Tax planning and audit support
  • Ability to effectively communicate in person and virtually
  • Comfort working with virtual tools – video conferencing and chat
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, supportive environment
  • Successful completion of our Tax Knowledge Assessment
  • Must complete continuing education requirements and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred
  • Experience completing business tax returns preferred
  • Experience conducting virtual tax interviews preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
