About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for restaurant facilities needs across the East Coast market.
  • Oversee restaurant building systems and facilities.
  • Coordinate repairs, upgrades, installations, and preventative maintenance with vendors and contractors.
  • Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, kitchen equipment, and other building systems.
  • Review monthly hood cleaning compliance with local codes.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews with regional managers, GMs, and CDCs.
  • Manage cleanliness, safety, and functionality of front-of-house, back-of-house, storage, restrooms, landscaping, and parking facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and applicable standards.
  • Provide hands-on project management for remodels, upgrades, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests to minimize restaurant downtime and guest impact.
  • Maintain the ServiceChannel facilities management system, including vendor management and administration.
  • Ensure regional facilities invoices are submitted on time and coded correctly.
  • Manage warranty repairs and monitor expenses for cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with upper management on long-term facility improvement and capital investment strategies.
  • Conduct weekly walkthroughs with GM, CDC, and key management.
  • Lead monthly staff meetings and janitorial meetings.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Travel periodically to restaurants along the East Coast.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Restaurant Facilities Management Association Certification.
  • Experience installing, repairing, and maintaining restaurant kitchen equipment, including CVAP, Combi Ovens, Fryers, Hoods, Dish Machines, and Ansul systems.
  • Hands-on experience maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical building systems.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and building codes.
  • Ability to read design and architectural plans.
  • Demonstrated strength in HVAC repair, restaurant kitchen equipment, vendor relations, and project management.
  • Previous experience as a restaurant facilities manager is a plus.
  • Must have and maintain reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, good driving record, and insurance coverage.
  • Effective communication via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
  • Ability to read, understand, and respond to written or digital documents.
  • Ability to detect and address workplace safety issues and follow safety guidelines.
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment, manage deadlines, and shift priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in shared office spaces.
  • Ability to tolerate standard office, kitchen, and building facility conditions.
  • Ability to follow directives, policies, and workflows from supervisors or management.
