About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work as a substitute teacher taking the place of a regular classroom teacher on a day-to-day basis
- Accept substitute assignments throughout Lunenburg and Queens County
- Provide inclusive, diverse, equitable, safe and healthy education that supports student learning and success
- Complete the permit-to-teach application process and submit required original documents if shortlisted
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed Bachelor's Degree in Math, Science, English, French, Business, Arts or related field
- Experience working with children is required
- Satisfactory completion of the Child Abuse Register check
- Satisfactory completion of the Criminal Records and Vulnerable Sector Checks
- Original sealed transcripts from all educational institutions are required
- Must obtain a permit to teach
- Permit substitute teachers are permitted only to pick up substitute positions after 6:00am on the day of the assignment
