About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain PHP backend solutions for BlueSpice
- Contribute to the architecture and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance systems
- Integrate APIs and external services
- Optimize existing backend processes and code
- Collaborate with frontend developers to create a seamless end-to-end product
- Conduct code reviews
- Help advance development best practices
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of new features
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong knowledge of PHP
- At least 3 years of professional PHP development experience
- Experience with MediaWiki and, ideally, Symfony
- Good knowledge of RESTful API development
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL and MariaDB
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
- Experience with cloud environments
- Server management experience, e.g., Docker, is an advantage
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English
