About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop control rigs for dynamic assets and characters
- Investigate and implement cloth sim solutions
- Create Physics Assets and edit Animation Blueprints and Control Rigs to mitigate crashing and resolve other issues
- Provide expertise in character dynamics and rigging
- Mentor Technical Animators
- Collaborate with engineering, FX, and other teams to ensure alignment with project goals
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
- Set standards and enforce their adoption
- Prototype workflows for a team and document workflows for artists
- Ensure end-user documentation is created and maintained
- Contribute best practices for the team
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Highly experienced senior technical animator
- Experience developing control rigs for dynamic assets and characters
- Experience investigating and implementing cloth simulation solutions
- Experience creating Physics Assets and editing Animation Blueprints and Control Rigs
- Expertise in character dynamics and rigging
- Ability to mentor Technical Animators
- Ability to collaborate with engineering, FX, and other teams
- Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies
