About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support, repair, and maintain robotic instrumentation
  • Provide field support for the Phoenix, Arizona location and surrounding areas
  • Install new equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and repair Hamilton equipment
  • Report problems and perform root cause analysis on instrument failures
  • Provide high-quality customer support through installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Commute regularly to customer sites and navigate within the region to ensure on-time arrival

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from a regionally accredited, not-for-profit university
  • Demonstrated experience working in the field as well as corporate setting
  • Ability to train non-technical personnel on highly technical material
  • Ability and willingness to work in a safety-conscious manner around potentially hazardous chemicals and biologicals
  • Ability to learn new robotic operating systems
  • Current, valid driver license
  • Successful completion of a motor vehicle history check
  • Personal, reliable transportation with valid registration and insurance capable of safely transporting necessary equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electronics, electrical, mechanical, and computer systems
  • Experience in automation or a similar field is required
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move approximately 60 lbs
  • Experience in technical field service and working with customers in the life science, clinical, or pharmaceutical field is preferred
