About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify potential machine geometry issues causing bad parts
Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate machine control systems
Train others in troubleshooting machine control systems
Read and follow ladder and wiring diagrams; train others in their use
Assist the Maintenance Manager with preventative and predictive maintenance
Assist with Maintenance Process content creation
Develop an improved repair reporting system to track machine-related issues
Improve communication between the Maintenance Department and customers
Maintain and monitor spare parts inventory
Repair production, CNC, and facility equipment
Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment
Apply and enforce safety procedures and precautions
Assist with complicated production and facility equipment repairs and facility modifications
Procure necessary repair parts and services
Support facility maintenance, upgrades, and expansion
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Knowledge and experience to complete repairs on machine shop equipment
Minimum of 5 years' experience repairing and using CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines in a heavy manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of safety procedures and precautions to prevent equipment and facility dangers to personnel and self
Working knowledge and experience to support facility repair and modifications
Ability to complete tasks accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner
Aptitude and desire to develop maintenance skills and repair techniques
Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and electrical current, on scaffolding and at high places, and with exposure to chemicals
Physical ability to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach
Knowledge of MSDS sheets as they pertain to daily activities
High school diploma or equivalent
3-5 years of experience in CNC repair & maintenance
Technical Certificate and/or LEAP or CTE Program Completion Preferred
