About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assemble precision medical and laboratory devices
- Perform routine production duties and preventative maintenance
- Adhere to product quality standards and procedures
- Work in a production environment assembling laboratory devices or operating machinery
- Interact effectively with support groups and fellow employees
- Use hand tools, tweezers, and other light machinery
- Assemble equipment correctly according to blueprints and schematics
- Quality check finished products and send unsatisfactory items to rework
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced assembly environment to meet quality and quantity quotas
- Experience using diagrams or blueprints and following written or verbal instructions
- Mechanically inclined with good dexterity; able to use both hand and power tools
- Able to quality check finished products and send unsatisfactory items to rework
- Proven experience with safe production practices
- Stable work history
- Basic math for computing quantities and simple addition and subtraction for counting parts
- Excellent manual dexterity and ability to work with small components and hand tools
- Keen eye for detail and quality
- Ability to read and follow detailed manufacturing instructions
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Technical Certificate and/or LEAP or CTE Program completion preferred
- Prior technician experience preferred
