About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute all aspects of assigned healthcare projects
  • Assist partners, planners, and associates with project feasibility analysis
  • Lead architect/engineer and consultant qualification, selection, and contract negotiations
  • Review, negotiate, and approve additional work requests
  • Supervise programming and planning efforts
  • Perform site analysis and investigations
  • Develop and maintain detailed development budgets and schedules
  • Obtain required public project approvals, including CON, zoning, annexation, site plan approval, and wetlands approvals
  • Provide design direction and manage the overall design process
  • Review design development and construction documents
  • Lead general contractor or construction manager qualification, selection, and contract negotiations
  • Evaluate construction allowances, contingencies, and general conditions
  • Provide construction administration according to company policies and procedures
  • Review and negotiate change order requests
  • Monitor contractor performance and potential risks
  • Coordinate physician office suite development
  • Control project costs and prepare monthly budget reports and invoices
  • Coordinate selection, procurement, delivery, and installation of medical equipment, signage, and furniture
  • Prepare monthly client reports
  • Create project overview and status presentations for client administration, boards, and board committees
  • Promote company services through thought leadership, speaking engagements, client leadership, and/or business development
  • Collaborate across the company to achieve client and company goals
  • Use e-Builder software throughout projects
  • Embrace company culture and work collaboratively

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred, or a minimum 5 years of progressive healthcare project management experience, including projects ranging from $5 million to $50 million
  • Candidates with a minimum of 10 years of experience outside of healthcare, such as commercial or mixed use, will be considered based on project complexity and size
  • High-level performance leading planning, design, preconstruction, contract negotiations, cost control, scheduling, and team coordination activities
  • Excellent project budgeting, contract negotiation, and scheduling skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyze data for clients and teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with executive-level external and internal healthcare clients
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and manage all aspects of construction projects effectively and efficiently
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows applications
  • E-Builder experience strongly preferred
